You did it, Panthers!! 100 days smarter, 100 days taller, 100 days closer to summer!! Way to go!!

We've gotten February off to a great start here at Southwood! Last Thursday, the Fifth-grade students came together to perform a music concert here at school. They have been working hard over the last couple of months to practice their performance, and it turned out amazing! We also had our Panther Pride assembly on Friday, where students who exemplified the monthly skill of "Choices" were given a Panther Award. Way to go, Panthers!

The food bank especially needs the following items: cereal, Rice-A-Roni, Past-A-Roni, dry beans, pasta, Top Ramen, canned chicken, canned tuna, chili, refried beans, stew or hearty soups, chicken noodle soup, chicken broth, pasta sauce, peanut butter, and jelly. Please send any items with your child starting next week, and let's show them what our Panther Community can do!

Please join the Enumclaw School District in honoring the historical significance of Black history through February. In addition to the United States, Black History Month is celebrated in Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. From the incredible achievements of Black trailblazers and the resilient spirit and historical impact around the world - let’s take time to honor the accomplishments and challenges unique to African Americans throughout history.

The district has received reports of issues with call quality (static) on our phone lines that are provided by Lumen, formerly known as CenturyLink.
Lumen will be doing work on our phone lines this afternoon at 3:30 pm.
This work will be "disruptive" and could lead to calls dropping or not going through for calls in and out of the district.
Internal phone calls from building to building, or within building will not be impacted.
Thanks in advance for your patience while we work with Lumen to resolve the issue.
Our Lost and Found is getting pretty full! Please come take a look anytime before or after school!!

REMINDER: There is no school on Friday, October 13, 2023 for a Teacher Directed Day.
