Today is National High-Five a Librarian Day!

Check out this awesome moment when one of our students cooked a delicious meal using a recipe from a cookbook he checked out from our school library!

Thank you to our wonderful librarians for guiding our students, sparking their curiosity, and helping them discover passions—whether in books or in the kitchen.

Take a moment today to give your librarian a high-five and remind our kids just how special libraries truly are!

A rainy day didn’t stop the fun at school today! A couple of our classrooms enjoyed a special visit from the Tooth Fairy—students loved learning about healthy teeth and hearing her stories. Meanwhile, other classes are gearing up for Thanksgiving with festive crafts and gratitude projects! Have a great weekend, Panthers!

Today, our school came together for our annual Veterans Day assembly, to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Students performed The White Table, a moving tribute that symbolizes the sacrifices made by our veterans. And, we were honored to welcome several local veterans as our special guests.

It was a wonderful reminder of the importance of gratitude, respect, and service. Thank you to all who helped make this meaningful day possible—and most of all, thank you to our veterans for your courage and dedication. ❤️🤍💙

10/26/25 6:30 PM: We are actively monitoring power outages across the district. At this time, Black Diamond Elementary, Thunder Mountain Middle School, Enumclaw Middle School, Southwood Elementary, and Sunrise Elementary are still without power. The current estimated time of restoration is 12:00 AM.

Due to these outages, all schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow to ensure our buildings and systems are operational and ready for students. Please note there will be no out-of-district transportation. Buses will run on normal routes.

For our Birth to Five families: AM ECEAP and Developmental Preschool are canceled. Full Day ECEAP and Transitional Kindergarten will start two hours late. PM ECEAP and Developmental Preschool will begin on time.

We will continue to monitor the situation, and if the power is not restored by the estimated time of 12:00 AM, we will reassess in the morning and provide families with any updates.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families. Thank you to our PSE and utility teams for working to restore our power!

Have you heard about our Panther Buck Prize system?

Our students have been earning Panther Bucks this year by showing their Panther qualities—being safe, respectful, responsible, and kind—and by going above and beyond as great citizens of our school!

Our Panthers have been cashing in their bucks for some awesome rewards like Mario Kart with Mr. Means, helping out in younger classrooms, sitting by a buddy at lunch, leading morning announcements, dressing up the principal for the day, and choosing a prize from the prize cart—plus many more fun options!

Ask your child what they’re saving their Panther Bucks for, and encourage them to keep showing those Panther qualities!
