Built in 1970, Southwood is home to over 340 students and 50 staff members. Each student has the opportunity to engage in a variety of learning activities throughout the week, starting with the core subjects of math, reading, and writing and expanding to physical education, music, library, media, science, social studies, and art.  

We are committed to meeting individual learning needs, and offer student support services in MLL (multi-language learning), Title/LAP (reading support), highly-capable, speech, resource room special education, and individualized learning classroom special education.
